General surgeons perform a wide variety of tasks, and are expected to have a wide degree of creativity and latitude. They may report to the chief of surgery or work independently. Plastic surgeons are required to be familiar with the concepts, tools, and technology within the field of surgery. Plastic surgeons perform a variety of surgical procedures including, but not limited to, in their technical terms, mastectomy, contracture surgery for burn victims, sexual reassignment surgery, Rhinoplasty, Abdominoplasty, Augmentation Mammaplasty, Chemical peel, Collagen injections, and more.
