Pulmonology Jobs

Pulmonologist Job Description

Pulmonologists perform a variety of diagnostic measures to asses breathing problems and lung diseases. Pulmonologists look at medical history, perform physical examinations, and use imaging technologies as methods for diagnosis. Treatment methods may include medication in the form of inhalation or oral medications. Surgical treatment, if necessary, is performed by a surgeon, and not a Pulmonologist. Pulmonologists may also use oxygen therapy to treat several respiratory diseases, or in more extreme cases, mechanical ventilation.
